The instructions aren't useful, if reality be told, they describe the device operation opposite of truth. It's all concerning the wiring. The system comes with a Red/White RCA wire that merges to a 1/8" minijack. It also comes with a different HDMI wire with a mini HDMI on one aspect. The instructions say if you need the soundbar to be keep an eye onled via the TV far flung (which is what I wanted) then you can use a fiber optic cable (not equipped). So I bought one for $17 and plugged it in. The sound bar labored but now not as described. The TV didn't control the soundbar. For grins I made up our thoughtss to plug within the HDMI cable they equipped even if the manual mentioned the TV would not keep watch over the soundbar in such a configuration.
